CROP Walk
Sunday, October 19th is World Hunger Day. We are inviting you to participate in the Crop Walk on Sunday, October 19th at 12-3pm at East New Street Park in Glassboro. This is a walk to raise money to fight hunger. 25 percent of the monies collected are returned to Gloucester county to help the Pitman Pantry, The Samaritan Center, Family Promise, Kitchen of Hope and The Lighthouse Community Center. We encourage people to walk or jog with wagons, strollers, walkers, or wheelchairs. Please no bikes, scooters, skates, skateboards, or dogs. We hope you can join us! Kid's Coat Giveaway
Kid’s Coat Giveaway will be held in the Fellowship House for toddler sizes to 14/16. Coats are new and gently used. Hats and Gloves will be available too!

Scam Awareness & Prevention for Seniors
This is a free program presented by The Southwest Council, Inc. Learn about current scams affecting older adults and how to protect yourself. Light refreshments will be provided. Presentation will be held in Grounded.

Annual Charge Conference
The Charge Conference is an annual meeting of the pastor, leadership of the church including members of the church council that serves as the primary governing body for the local church and church members This meeting reviews and evaluates the church's mission and ministries, sets the budget, approves clergy salaries, elects members to the church council, and recommends candidates for ordained ministry.

Quilling Craft Lesson
The Art of Quilling: Spend an afternoon learning the craft of paper curling. Come to the Fellowship House on Thursday, November 6th for a 3 PM "class". Come and go as you like from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. RSVP to Nancy Walters, walters3037@gmail.com, is appreciated. If you need supplies please let Nancy know, there be a nominal fee to cover the cost.

Sisters of Grace
Our newest Grow Group! Sisters of Grace is a faith-based women’s group devoted to growing in Christ, and encouraging one another. Through fellowship, prayer and spending time together, we walk together in grace—supporting each other in every season of life. This Grow Group will meet the first Tuesday each month at 7:00 PM. Mission Project
Our Church Will Be Partnering With Haddonfield UMC
We are partnering with Haddonfield UMC volunteering working the Simple Homes Project on Saturday July 19th. We will gather at the Glassboro Church at 8:00 AM and plan on leaving at 8:15 AM by carpool. We will be helping renovate a home and to also work in the GARDEN at Simple Way! Fun! Some folks will work at the house, some at the garden. We will work from 9:00 AM to Noon and then eat lunch. If you have questions, please contact our church office.

Pitman Grove
Pitman Camp Meeting
Every Sunday at 7:30 PM during the months of July & August 2025 Pitman Camp Meeting celebrates with worship and praise. This 2025 season will be the 154th year Pitman Camp Meeting has been praising! Various churches in the area host an evening of worship & service. Glassboro UMC will be the first church to kick off the season in 2025, on Sunday, July 13th at 7:30 PM. Pastor Tim will deliver the message and Magnify (our Praise Band) will provide praise music and song.

Tent Revival Worship & Family Fun Day
Good morning church! Today is Family Fun Day! Due to the heat we will have worship in the sanctuary at 11am, but our picnic and everything else will still be outside under the Tent following the worship service. (6.22.25)


Pentecost Sunday
Join us this Pentecost Sunday as we celebrate the birth of the church by handing out bibles to our young people, welcome in confirmands and new professions of faith, and transfers into the life of our church! It is going to be a joy filled morning.

First United Methodist Church of Glassboro is seeking a passionate and skilled Director of Music and Worship Arts to lead and foster our music and worship ministries. This individual will collaborate with the pastor, worship teams, and other leaders to plan and implement meaningful worship experiences. They will Direct the Chancel Choir and Children’s Choir, while overseeing music for worship services and special programs. *This is a part-time position
Qualifications:
Musical proficiency, leadership skills, and a heart for worship. *Must be able to read and play music.
Ministry & Creative Team Collaboration.
Ability to be inclusive and welcoming to the congregation and community.

Meager Meals & Lenten Study
Join us Wednesday evenings during Lent for a time of food, fellowship, and prayerful study.
Meager Meals will begin on Wednesday, March 12th at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship House. Followed by a Lenten Bible Study. Meager Meals will be shared each Wednesday at 6:00 PM until April 9th. Our final Meager Meal will be shared on Maunday Thursday, April 17th followed by Maunday Thursday Service and Foot Washing at 7:00 PM.
Our Lent Bible Study "Faces at the Cross" will begin Wednesday, March 12th at 7:00 PM, bible study follows the Lent Meager Meal. The study is led by Pastor Tim. Join us as we explore the faces at the cross. There is plenty of room for you as we learn, share and fellowship. No book is needed.
