To my church family,

As I write this letter to you as your Finance co-chair the scripture John 16:33 comes to mind.

“Here on earth you will suffer many trials and sorrows, but take heart, for I have overcome the world.”

I urge you to believe His words and remember that, no matter what we are going through, God is in control and He will win. It is my hope that as a church we will continue to offer the world His hope through our strength and commitment. We need to serve each other and the community especially now during this difficult season.

Despite the shutdown of so many things, our church is alive and moving forward. Our pastor, staff, and committee chairpersons are working hard to keep you actively engaged, connected, and growing in Christ. Our church services are now streaming live on our Facebook page and posted to our YouTube channel. Our groups and committees are continuing to meet, engage, and plan for our future online through an app called Zoom. Some of those groups include Men of Armor, Wednesday night Lenten Bible Studies, Youth Group, CFM, Finance Committee, and Church Council. Other groups such as the women’s WOW group are planning upcoming Zoom meetings and more opportunities to connect and worship are coming!

As we continue walking together with our Savior through this challenging time, we cannot let fear jeopardize the mission of our church.

If ever there was a time for our church to rise, it is now!

To do this we must maintain our financial solvency. I ask you for your continued financial support. While we are cutting every expense possible, there are many that are essential to our continued ministry, including certain ministry expenses, salaries, and utilities. Our normal budget requires an intake of $5800 per week. After much prayer and discussion, we believe we can adjust this to $3200 per week to stay afloat for the time being. But we still need your help.

Here is what you can do:

  • Sign up for online giving. It is the easiest and safest way to give. You can set it to automatically withdraw your offering with your credit or debit card or your checking/ saving account and at the frequency you choose;
  • We are looking into other options such as PayPal and Venmo as additional convenient ways for members to give.
  • If you can’t give online, mail your check to the church at 60 State St. Glassboro, NJ 08028. Please consider consolidating your weekly giving into a monthly amount. Less checks means less work and less going to the bank for our counting team.

The most important thing you can do is continue your regular giving and increase the amount you give, if possible. I realize that some of you may be in difficult financial situations yourself, we understand. For those blessed with the resources to be more generous, we ask that you please consider giving more during this crisis. This way a “lack of funds” does not add to the list of challenges we currently face.

Thank you for your continued support to our church. I encourage you to pray for one another and connect in all ways possible as we need to encourage and support each other in all things. May God bless you as you remain focused on Him and His direction for you personally and for our church family.

In His Service,
