FUMC GLASSBORO helps the 4th Saturday of each month.


The Dear (Drop Everything and Read!) program is in need of NEW, current literature to which the children, grades k-8 can relate. They also need volunteers to read to pre-school children, work in the soup kitchen, and provide other services. Located at 278 Kaighn Ave, Camden, the phone number is 856-365-5295.

How you can help: 1)Give a book (something to which they can relate as well as reflecting a Christian environment) to any of the Sunday School classes for their collection. 2) Make a contribution (checks made payable to FUMC; noting Book Mission.

Food Pantry for Glassboro residents: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday - 2-4 PM (Must bring proof of ID)
Clothing Closet open Tuesday and Thursday - 9-11 AM

Volunteers are needed to sort and hang clothing.



MOORESTOWN VISITING NURSES & HOSPICE is seeking caring and compassionate volunteers to visit terminally ill patients in their home or care facility. Training is provided and volunteers can give as little or as much time as they wish. Volunteers are also needed for office work, community outreach, and bereavement. This ministry provides a church family with a meal when a member has been hospitalized or recuperating from a hospitalization. Be a part of this ministry by offering to provide a meal periodically.




If you are motivated by a deep concern for people and a desire to make a difference, being a CONTACT volunteer may be for you. If you have a few hours a week or even a few hours a month become a CONTACT volunteer. Telephone volunteers provide non-judgmental, empathetic listening and appropriate information and referrals to individuals in need.. CONTACT REASSURANCE is for isolated and homebound senior citizens to make sure they are alive and well and to provide social contact.

FAMILY PROMISE: Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN)

· Several churches in the county got together and began this ministry in December 2005 to serve families that are homeless. Volunteer efforts make it work, from meal preparation to day or overnight host/hostess. To find out about volunteer opportunities, call the church office 856-881-3295 or Denise. Training is available and is required.



Habitat for Humanity

The RESTORE is open in Pitman. Volunteer to help with merchandising or donate your household goods.
