A Little Bit of Everything.........

Are you looking for a way to serve the Lord and your church but feel your life is too busy? How about a few minutes one Sunday a month to transport a member in need of a ride to church? Attention Parents! Beginning in Lent (March 4th) Children's Church will be offered for children in grades K - 3rd grade durning the 11 AM service.....Parent volunteers are needed to take one one Sunday a month. February is "Random Acts of Kindness" month and the Justice and Missions team invites the members of the congregations to record their "act" with the hopes of reaching a goal of 500 "acts" this month. My name is Julie Palmisano and I am happy to announce that I am the new director of the cherub choir. Cherub choir is available for anyone ages 4-10. I would love to see you all at practice! Feel free to bring a friend; we'll meet at 6:30 in the choir room! We will start off by getting to know each other and then we'll learn some new songs to sing at Sunday Services. This monthly program is designed to give the students a chance to have devotions, make good Christian friends, and have a lot of fun together. Becky Owen and BJ Mickle will lead the program. | District Resource Day is Feb. 9th at Centerton/Olivet UMC. Rev. Brad Kalajainen will speak on Small Group Ministry. District Day of Learning Workshops are announced. There are sessions for youth, trustees, financial people, clergy and church leaders of any position. The Registration Form is available now. Date: March 3rd at Pitman UMC. Register by Feb. 24th. R U a Sheep? (Matthew 25: 31-46).... Volunteer to be a van driver, dinner cook, overnight host or set-up person during our first Interfaith Hospitality Network-Family Promise Gloucester County week for 2012. Besides the Feb. 26th - March 3rd week, we will also be the host church for 5/6-12, 7/29-8/4, 9/30-10/6 and 11/25-12/1.
Feed the hungry: St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Glassboro offers Gloucester County residents who are at risk of hunger and/or food insecurity a bag of groceries. Come to their Parish Hall on the 4th Saturday of each month from 10 AM - 2 PM and bring photo id and proof of income. The Samaritan Center Food Pantry is is need of donations especially non-perishable food, diapers, and hygiene items. All must have valid expiration dates. The Good Shepherd Window Fund has been established to restore this historic church window. Restorations could cost as much at $16,000. For more information or to inquire about making a donation which would add to the $600 donated to date, contact Pastor Marilyn. The 2012 Leukemia Society Weight-A-Thon has begun and will continue through Sunday, March 25th. Join in and/or support someone as a sponsor.
